Today is the haiku challenge for the blogathon participants. I think I wrote a haiku as part of a poetry unit in elementary school but that's about all my haiku skills consist of, so I gave it my best shot.
I wrote this for Emma in the hopes that she would actually go to sleep.
Nighttime
Nighttime is here now
Close your eyes sweet child; sleep, sleep
Morning brings new fun
