Wordless Wednesday

"To be in your child's memories tomorrow, you have to be in their lives today." ~ Unknown

When I feel guilty about the choice we made to cut our household income in half so I could stay home with Emma, I remind myself that her childhood only lasts a few short years and the time we have together is priceless. Yes, at times I feel guilty because I can't help but think, "we could have so much more" or "I'd love a bigger car" then I remind myself we don't need more things, we need more time together. The guilt doesn't get any better when people in our lives make comments, but then those people don't get much of our time.

    1. Thanks mom. I wish everyone in our lives realized how important these years are or would lay off tge guilt trips about all the time & money I spent on my education.

  2. You'll be sure to use your formal education again! You're so young! There is plenty of time left for you to join the working world again when your family is ready!

  3. Your right sweetie. Mom stayed home with you for a couple of years, and when she went back to work I adjusted my military shift -- including night shifts --to maximize the time I was at home with you during the week so Mom could be with you during the weekends while I worked. You two are doing it "RIGHT"....

    1. Thanks dad. We just can't see paying someone else to raise her.

  4. You're so right to stay with home with your little one! We made the same decision when our girl was born and I've never regretted it. It also hasn't stopped me from trying to do something I love while staying home with her. Its hard but its so totally worth it! So bravo to you!
